DailyMed - A Publicly Available Site for viewing SPL



The DailyMed Siteis a service of the National Library of Medicine (NLM).

"DailyMed provides high quality information about marketed drugs. This information includes FDA approved labels (package inserts). This Web site provides health information providers and the public with a standard, comprehensive, up-to-date, look-up and download resource of medication content and labeling as found in medication package inserts. The National Library of Medicine (NLM) provides this as a public service and does not accept advertisements.
Other information about prescription drugs may also be available. NLM regularly processes data files uploaded from FDA's system and provides and maintains this Web site for the public to use in accessing the information. " {DailyMed home page}


[05-Mar-2010] Discontinued Product SPLs to be Removed from home page for DailyMed

It appears as if National of Library of Medicine, which maintains the DailyMed website, has archived the listing SPL documents with a marketing end date for all of the drug products described in the listing SPL document.
This archival process should be automated for future listing SPL documents with a marketing end date for all of the drug products described in the listing SPL document.
These types of SPL documents should no longer be accessible from the DailyMed main web page.
